Model numbers / Bosch
What do the letters at the end of Bosch model numbers mean?
On Bosch US model numbers, N means bare tool: no battery or charger; B12 means kit with one 2Ah battery and a charger (usually); B14 means kit with one CORE18V battery (8Ah on the PROFACTOR tools) and a charger (usually); B25 means kit with two CORE18V 4Ah batteries and a charger (usually); K14A means kit with one CORE18V 8Ah battery, a fast charger and a hard carrying case (usually).
Bosch 18V model numbers end in N for the bare tool. Kits end in B or K plus a code for the batteries; letters before the ending describe the tool (C = Connected-Ready for the optional connectivity module, L = blade-left saw).

What the Bosch ending does not tell you
- Rules checked 2026-10-18 against the box lists on Bosch's own pages; the box list on each page is authoritative.
- B24 is not listed: the GSB18V-800CB24 box list names two 4Ah batteries but no charger. Read the box list.
- Bosch product pages do not say whether their weight includes a battery, so we do not show it as tool-only; tool-only weights come from Bosch manuals that say "Weight tool only".
"Usually" means we found exceptions or too few examples to call it a rule. The box list on each model page, taken from Bosch's own page, is what to trust. For battery counts and sizes across every kit we cover, see what ships in each kit.
