Which batteries fit Makita 18V LXT and 40V max XGT tools?
Within each system only: Makita says its batteries are compatible within each respective battery platform, so 18V LXT batteries fit LXT tools and 40V max XGT batteries fit XGT tools. 36V (18V X2) tools take two 18V LXT batteries.
